When dealing with brick cleaning, the toughest part is
removing dried paint from brick and getting out the last bits that stubbornly
stick in the crevices. There are brick cleaners available for removing paint,
but only a few basic methods. The method you will incorporate to remove dried
paint from brick will depend on the type of paint and how much elbow grease
you're willing to invest.
1. Using a scraper
blade
Simply scrap it off is the most common way to remove paint
from your wall. Before you start, lay a cloth on the floor below the space on
which you will work so that the removed paint flakes can be removed easily
later. To remove any loose paint or dirt before scraping, wipe the concrete
wall with a smooth cloth. Then wipe the concrete wall with a tissue before
scraping to remove any loose paint or dirt. It will cut through any loose
chips, making them fall from the wall. Keep following this procedure in each
direction.
2. Use paint
stripping agents
Brick clean
specialists use few chemicals for paint removal. These chemicals are two primary kinds:
caustic-based strippers (CBS) and solvent-based strippers (SBS).Using chemicals
properly is the fastest and simplest way to remove paint. First, the stripper
softens the painted surface, which can then be scraped off readily or washed
away with water.
3. Use heat
application
Heat is also a popular way to remove paint from concrete.
Make sure you cover your floor before starting the process, as stated in the
first technique. To ensure a chemical-free wall surface to work on, wash the
wall with clean water in this case. Then take your heat gun to a safe place to
heat up. Once the weapon heats up, point it to the wall and maintain it away
from it about 5 inches. Heat the surface of the wall until the paint begins
bubbling. When it begins bubbling, you will need to scrape away the paint. The
cloth on the ground will ensure a simple removal of lead paint.
